George Garcia Educational Award Fund

Monument Impact in pleased to launch the George Garcia Educational Award Fund with support from the Diablo Valley Federal Credit Union in memory of their Board member George Garcia. These awards will help students from Concord’s Monument Corridor with educational expenses, maximum award is $500.

What is the purpose of this program?

The George Garcia Educational Award Fund offers a limited number of educational grants to qualifying participants. These grants may be only be applied toward tuition, fees, books, and supplies required by the class.

Who can apply for a George Garcia Scholarship?

City of Concord community members 18+ years (High School Seniors are also welcomed to apply), who wish to pursue any educational training or enrichment activity that will help towards a clear educational goal.
How to apply?
  1. Fill in the entire George Garcia Education Fund Application–incomplete applications and applications received after the deadlines
    will not be considered.
  2. Submit a budget of your educational plan, which should include the total cost of the training or
    class you plan to take (see page 2 of Application for the budget form).
  3. Copy of ID
  4. Include a short essay of no more than 500 words. Attach your essay to the George Garcia Education Fund Application.

NOTE: The George Garcia Educational Award Fund is a competitive program. We regret that not everyone who applies will receive an award.
