CalWORKs

We partner with the County’s CalWORKs program to offer employment readiness and job placement services in Central and East Contra Costa County. We focus on providing the tools for participants to obtain and retain employment as they build a path to self-sufficiency.

What We Offer

One on One employment coaching and case management
Workshops on adapting to U.S. culture, resume development, job applications, elevator pitch, job interview preparation, work ethic and strengths, problem solving and critical thinking, obtaining a job promotion, and more
Referrals to English as a Second Language (ESL) classes

Going the Extra Mile

To help prepare clients for work, our case manager also identifies individual needs such as:

- Opening a bank account
- Application assistance for jobs, low-income housing, rent assistance, benefits, driver’s license (driving permit test preparation and resources to help clients for DMV driving test)
- Identifying resources to support the family while building employment skills
