CalWorks Partnership 

Through our partnership with the County’s CalWORKs program, we provide employment readiness and job placement services for residents of Central and East Contra Costa County. Our goal is to equip participants with the skills, resources, and support they need to secure and maintain employment while building a path toward long-term self-sufficiency.

Participants receive personalized, one-on-one support from a dedicated case manager who works closely with each individual to identify their goals, address barriers to employment, and connect them with the resources they need to succeed. To better serve our diverse community, services are available in English, Farsi, and Urdu, ensuring participants can receive guidance in the language they are most comfortable using.

Case management services provided include:

• Opening a bank account
• Assistance with job applications
• One-on-one employment coaching and case management
• Workshops from adapting to U.S. culture, resume development, job applications, elevator pitch, job interview preparation
• Referrals to English as a Second Language (ESL) classes 
• Support applying for low-income housing, rental assistance, and public benefits
• Driver’s license preparation, including permit test resources and assistance navigating the DMV process
• Connecting families with community resources that provide stability while participants build employment skills
