Cross-Cutting Programs & Strategies

Our cross-cutting programs and strategies explore different issues identified by the community we serve and strategies to further our mission. Some are stand alone programs like our Day Labor Center, others may be temporary projects with an end goal of creating equity-centered policy that serves all residents, like ELEVATE Concord.

Day Labor

Day Labor

Founded in 1997 as the Concord Casual Labor Office in partnership with the City of Concord, Monument Impact’s Day Labor Center has operated continuously ever since. The Center is self-governed by a leadership council and provides job-matching services for hundreds of local homeowners and businesses every year.  The Center promotes equity and fair wages for workers.

Arts & Culture

Arts & Culture

Our arts & culture pilot, H.O.M.E.S. (Home Offers Me Safety and Escape…or at least it should), was launched in 2021 as a cross-cutting experiment to support our community organizing goals. Through storytelling and performance, the pilot is a call to action for the public to increase their engagement in housing, economic justice, and immigration issues. To date, the program has produced two performance pieces, including the original play Nosotros (pictured here).
