Vanessa Chena
At almost two years old, Vanessa and her family immigrated to the U.S from Mexico. She grew up in Concord, attending local schools and church. Vanessa attended college at Saint Mary’s College of California, where she double-majored in Justice, Community and Leadership, and Women and Gender Studies, and double-minored in Ethnic Studies and French. In June of 2021, Vanessa joined Monument Impact’s team as the assistant for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program. Currently, Vanessa is the Concord Community Organizer with Monument Impact’s Community Engagement team. She enjoys learning new languages and currently speaks English, Spanish, and French.
