Founded in 2001, Monument Impact’s Day Labor Center has been a steady and trusted resource for local homeowners, businesses, and workers alike. The Center is guided by the members themselves, and connects day laborers with safe, fair, and reliable job opportunities each year.
Guaranteed Income (GI) is a simple but powerful concept: giving community members direct, no-strings-attached cash so they can take care of what matters most. Research shows that when families have the financial breathing room they need, stress goes down, stability grows, and new opportunities open up. At Monument Impact, we believe deeply in GI because we’ve seen how it can ease the strain of daily life and honor that families who know best what they need.
With the support of the City of Concord, John Muir Community Health Fund, Latino Community Foundation and additional funders, our commitment to listening to our community has helped us build two pilot programs: Elevate Concord and Elevate East County, where families receive cash stipends.

Our Arts & Culture Program celebrates the stories, creativity, and lived experiences of our community through art. Over the years, the program has brought people together through annual play performances, poetry pieces, storytelling projects, and other artistic collaborations.
In 2021, we launched H.O.M.E.S. (Home Offers Me Safety and Escape… or at least it should), a series of theatre performances written and performed by local actors and actresses. Since then, the program has produced three original performance pieces, including Nosotros.
