We believe in activating the voices and power of the people that make up the communities we serve. Our Promotores program is a community and network where we come together to share resources to the community, provide programming that supports the community in living healthy lives, and grow personally and professionally.
Promotores play a pivotal role in community outreach efforts. Recently, they have actively disseminated information on Medi-Cal enrollment, cancer prevention, and COVID-19 vaccines. As trusted messengers with shared lived experiences in the neighborhoods they serve, they annually reach thousands with essential health and resource information.
Promotores are also empowered to lead all physical activity programming. They have a deep understanding of the resources and fitness activities that participants want, serving as a vital bridge between other programs offered within Monument Impact and throughout the community.
A cornerstone of our Promotores Program is training members to deliver specialized programming. For our Mentes Positivas en Acción program, Promotores undergo 40 hours of training to effectively deliver an 8-week curriculum.
“To be part of this community is a honor!
To serve my community is a true privilege!
We all deserve a healthy and happy life.”
